It might be obvious, but that doesn’t mean it should be missed… Wish your fans and followers Happy 2018: share a Tweet, post to Instagram, send an email, or post a behind-the-scenes video showing how you celebrated on NYE.
According to Statistic Brain, almost 50% of Americans make resolutions to kick off the New Year. As you might have guessed, many of these focus on self-improvements – from health and finances to learning new things. Whether your resolution is to try a new product or create a new makeup look every day, you could track your progress with daily posts, both engaging and encouraging your fans with their own resolutions.
Beat the January Blues
With the festivities behind us, we could all do with a mood boost. Why not help yourself and your following feel better with a series of positive posts? You could run an inspiring quotes contest, create a poll asking how your followers stay motivated or share an honest post about how you are feeling. See British comedian Sarah Millican’s #JoinIn campaign for a simple, yet effective way to help the online community feel less lonely.
Plan Your Year
We’re not just talking about planning your content for 2018 – though that’s not a bad idea, either! You could also share your expertise with your fans to help them get prepared for whatever this year might bring. Think about beauty looks or products that could tie in with events that are already right around the corner: Back to School, Chinese New Year, Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, the list goes on!
