NOV. 8, 2016:
Google’s first foray into hardware, the Pixel phone is easily the most anticipated release of the season, if not the year. So far, the reviews have been positive—the phone has been called “The best Android phone money can buy,” and Google is said to have “hit a home run.”
Well, we got a chance to try out the new device, and here are three things that could make us forget our iPhone.
Picture this: you are in a super cool bar, enjoying an evening cocktail and you get in the mood to take a selfie with your BFF. But when you take the photo, the light is too low for the photo to come out. When you use the flash, you’ve got scary red eye and blown-out complexions. Ew.
Enter the Pixel. In low light, it captures colors and maintains details. To put it bluntly, it is sharp AF.

You say “jump,” the Pixel says “how high?” Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip and 4GB of RAM, the Pixel responds with zero delay, no matter how quickly you jump from app to app, or how low your battery is. For iPhone users that often have to deal with slow machines, this swiftness is liberating.
Since it’s the best search engine in the world, you would expect the Google Pixel assistant to be the best in the world, and it’s very close. Though you can’t really have it solve complex tasks, simple tasks like phone calls, directions and recipes, happen in what seems like milliseconds. See you later, Siri.
